W. McAllister, M.D.
Growing up in Michigan, with a grandfather who
was a pathologist and an uncle who was a radiologist, it seemed natural
for Dr. McAllister to pursue a medical profession. He received his
bachelor's degree from Albion College, in Albion, Michigan and then
went on to complete a Masters in Science from Michigan State University.
His Doctor of Medicine is from Bowman Gary School of Medicine in
Winston-Salem. Dr. McAllister interned and completed his residency
at North Carolina Baptist Hospital before joining the United States
Navy, Oxnard, California.
Dr. McAllister's medical focus is on routine gynecological care,
gynecological surgery and menopausal management. He was awarded the
Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) resident teaching award and serves
on the Quality Assurance Committee at CMC as well. Dr. McAllister
recognizes the importance of developing long-term relationships with
his patients and believes this is essential to successful management
of women's overall health.
Dr. McAllister is married and has two grown sons. He enjoys golf
and hiking in his spare time. |
